Most Warwick students move off campus after first year, and most of them move to Leamington. Both of our houses are here, about eight miles from the campus and fifty metres from the bus that goes to it.

The trade
That proximity is the whole case for it, and it is a real one: a short bus ride, or a cycle in good weather. What you give up is choice. Kenilworth is a small town with a handful of pubs and restaurants, a castle, and not a great deal of nightlife. Most undergraduates find it quiet; postgraduates and staff often find it exactly right.
Housing
There is less purpose-built student accommodation in Kenilworth than in Leamington, and more ordinary family housing, so the shared houses tend to be smaller and the market thinner. If you want an en-suite room in a modern building, there is more of it eight miles away in Leamington than there is here.
Worth knowing
Kenilworth has a station on the Leamington–Coventry line, which reopened in 2018 and is useful for getting to both. If you are choosing between Kenilworth and Leamington, the honest summary is that Kenilworth is quicker to campus and Leamington is better the rest of the time.
