Leamington Spa
Leamington is where most Warwick students end up after first year, and it is where both of our houses are.
Most Coventry students live in Coventry, and we will not pretend otherwise. Leamington suits a particular kind of Coventry student — and if you are one, it suits you very well.
11 miles away. Trains run from Leamington Spa to Coventry in about fourteen minutes, and Coventry University puts the walk from Coventry station to the campus at fifteen to twenty minutes.

Coventry University sits in the middle of the city, around Priory Street and Jordan Well, CV1 5FB. It is a genuine city-centre campus — you walk out of a lecture into the town — and there is a great deal of purpose-built student accommodation within a few streets of it.
So let us be straight about this: most Coventry University students live in Coventry, and for most of them that is the right answer. If you want to roll out of bed fifteen minutes before a nine o'clock, nothing eight miles away is going to beat a building across the road.
There is a smaller group for whom it is the better choice, and they tend to be one of these.
three hundred undergraduates and would rather come home to a quiet street.
parks, the independent places to eat, and considerably less traffic.
frequent reason we hear. Leamington is the natural compromise between the two universities.
Trains run from Leamington Spa to Coventry in about fourteen minutes — eleven on the fastest — roughly twice an hour, and Coventry University puts the walk from Coventry station to the campus at fifteen to twenty minutes. Door to door that is about three quarters of an hour, and it is a train rather than a bus — which means it is not sitting in the Kenilworth Road at half past eight.
It is a real commute and it costs real money, so budget for a railcard and check the current season ticket prices before you commit to it. Anyone telling you the journey is nothing is selling you something.
All bills included, en-suite or shared bathrooms depending on the room, two proper kitchen and lounge areas at Moss House and self-contained apartments at Moss Yard, and a landlord who answers the phone. Rooms start at £135 a week with everything in.
If the commute is the wrong trade for you, it is the wrong trade — we would rather tell you that now than have you regret it in January.
About three quarters of an hour door to door. Leamington Spa station is about 500m from both houses, trains to Coventry take about 14 minutes — 11 on the fastest — and Coventry University puts the walk from Coventry station to the campus at 15 to 20 minutes.

The X18 runs between Coventry and Leamington — stopping on the Parade and opposite the railway station — about every half hour on weekdays. It takes around an hour, so the train is the quicker way; the bus is the fallback.
For a daily commute, almost certainly. It costs £35 a year and takes a third off most fares, including at peak times. A season ticket is the other option for travelling every day; check the current price with National Rail before you decide.

Moss Yard has nine parking spaces on site, with electric-vehicle charging free to students and their parents. Ask about a space when you book.
